Hamelin Paperbrands Ltd, formerly John Dickinson, raise over £100K for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Hamelin Paperbrands Limited, formerly John Dickinson Stationery, is delighted to announce that it raised £104,500 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Marie Keating Foundation in 2007, more than double its target. This fantastic achievement is thanks to customers choosing to buy Oxford Pink & Black notebooks with 10% from the sale of every notebook being donated to these breast cancer charities.

Oxford Pink & Black's support for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK's leading cancer charity, began in 2006 when the brand was launched. This unique range of notebooks fast became the ultimate desk accessory for women at work and home, and sales raised £20K in 2006 for the charity's breast cancer research, campaigning and education work. The successful launch of the Pink & Black diaries has helped to smash the £50k target set for 2007.

The money raised will not only support Breakthrough Breast Cancer but 8% of the total amount will be donated to the Marie Keating Foundation. This valuable organisation provides information and awareness on breast cancer and other cancers, free of charge to people in Ireland.

Oxford Pink & Black notebooks have been available in A4+ and A5+ sizes since September 06 and come with a hard back cover, twin wire binding to allow the book to lie flat or fold back, oversized perforated pages for neat filing and premium 90gsm paper for minimal show-through. There are now more ways for Pink & Black fans to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer with the launch of the smart yet striking notebooks in several other formats along with diaries for 2008 and 2009:

- A4 Casebound notebook
- A4+ Project Book
- A5+ Project Book
- A6 Hardback wirebound notebook
- A7 Polynote elasticated notebook ideal for the handbag
- 2008 and 2009 Pocket Diary
- 2008 and 2009 A5 Diary

Jane Rowe, Marketing Director, said: "We are thrilled to have achieved more than doubled our fundraising target set for 2007. The sum of £104,500 is a substantial amount of money and we hope it will make a significant difference to the work of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Marie Keating Foundation. We would like to thank our customers and the users of Oxford Pink & Black for their continued support. With this extended product range for 2008, we hope to offer an even greater choice and we look forward to raising even more money this year."
